Hey, I’m Brooke.

After just 3 years of working in travel I know this is the industry I want to be in forever! Learning about my customers’ needs and requirements and then finding their dream holiday is my favourite thing. One of my personal favourite countries is Greece, how friendly the locals are really makes it a home from home feeling, not to mention the famous Gyros! One of my bucket list trips would be a road trip around New Zealand.

Q&A

What drew you to the travel industry?

My love for travel started with the family holidays as a child, that I have been lucky enough to go on. From a young age I experienced some amazing trips and it gave me a joy for travelling which led me to Oyster Travel.

Describe your favourite memory from travelling.

On a recent trip I did something completely out of my comfort zone and tried a sky dive in the Airlie Beach in Australia (over the Whitsundays). This experience was totally breathtaking and like nothing I have ever done before…

What are your main areas of expertise

My favourite type of holiday to put together for a customer would be a holiday to the Caribbean or Greece. Since having been to a few of the islands, I found that they all offer something different meaning this is an Island for everyone!

Which continents have you visited most and would say you specialise in?

I have been lucky enough to visit Europe, Asia, & Australasia. I would say my strengths lie in Greece and long haul trips such as the Maldives and the Caribbean.

Favourite destinations?

Australia for sure, it has a home from home feeling in my opinion. Greece would be a personal favourite because the culture, people and food are lovely. Hoi An in Vietnam was so beautiful and the country was a cultural highlight to me.

What are your top two travel tips?

In Southeast Asia a shower filter was essential, a really handy travel item. If you are going on a long haul flight, I would recommend packing a spare change of clothes in your carry-on, just in case your luggage does not arrive on time!
